A handstand is the act of supporting the body in a stable, inverted vertical position by balancing on the hands. In a basic handstand, the body is held straight with arms and legs fully extended and hands spaced approximately shoulder-width apart. There are many variations of the handstand, but in all cases a handstand performer must possess adequate balance and upper body strength.
Learning Handstands is central to all circus training. Helping build your core and upper body strength, this class will not only cover handstands but also stretching, tumbling and hand balance as well as the use of handstand canes and blocks. It’s a class like no other with excellent lesson plans guided by professionals trainers.
